Linking your JASMIN and CEDA accounts

Why link your accounts

Linking your CEDA and JASMIN accounts allows you to access CEDA Archive data directly from JASMIN services (such as the scientific analysis servers or the Notebook service). Your access is based on the dataset permissions assigned to your CEDA account.

Step‑by‑Step Instructions

Step 1 — Start the link

1. Go to the CEDA Accounts Portal.
2. Open the Link JASMIN Account tab.
3. Click “Link now.” You’ll be redirected to the JASMIN Accounts Portal.
4. Log in using your JASMIN username and password.

Step 2 — Authorise access

1. You will see a page asking you to allow the CEDA portal to:
   • link to your JASMIN account
   • read your JASMIN profile information
2. Click “Allow” to continue.

Step 3 — Confirm the link

1. You’ll be returned to the Link JASMIN Account page on the CEDA portal.

   Your JASMIN username should now appear on the page.

   • This confirms the link is complete.
   • Your JASMIN account now has access to the CEDA resources your CEDA account is permitted to use.
